2002 Custom Squier "Strat"

This is a completely rebuilt and customized 20th anniversary Fender Squier Affinity Strat.
     I painted the body with white satin and sealed it with several coats of nitrocellulose lacquer.
I upgraded the tuning machines with a set of Gotoh inline with a 1 to 16 gear ratio. The pickups were upgraded to a set of hand wound Vintage Staggered pickups with Alnico 5 Magnets and bronze covers.
     The control pots were all upgraded to full sized linear taped 500k pots.
In addition to the new standard 5 way switch, there are also 3 toggles. The first turns the neck pickup on for any position of the 5 way, allowing the neck and bridge to be on at the same time. The second takes the middle pickup out of phase for a unique group of sounds. The third toggle switch changes from the normal parallel wiring to serial creating an overdrive effect. Finally the control pots are wired with a master volume, master tone and a distortion switch in the middle which gives you 4 levels of fuzz.
     Topped off with a fret leveling, setup and intonation, and a new set of D'Addario EXL110 strings this is truly a one of a kind tone machine.
