Washburn WI14 Red
In 1999 Washburn's master craftsmen set out to design a modern classic for the new Millennium and the Idol was born. After countless awards and accolades, Washburn has now expanded the Idol family to an even more versatile instrument. The WI14 is a modern take on the single cutaway and is quite innovative in its own way. A wider base allows a thinner body to be used without balance issues. The bolt on neck allows comfortable access to the upper register. This one has had the rosewood fret board cleaned and rejuvenated, all fret ends filed round for very comfortable play. The 3-way switch was upgraded and the control pots were replaced with 4 full sized 500ks and rewired. Finally it was setup to the specs of a Gibson Les Paul and strung with a new set of D'Addario EXL110 Nickel Wound Electric Strings. It now plays and sounds like a much more expensive guitar.
